Do you need to move your existing osCommerce site to a new web host or server?

You might need to move your existing osCommerce site for all kinds of reasons. Your current hosting might be too expensive, the service or support may be poor or you have out grown the server and need more bandwidth, processing power or webspace. What ever the reason we can help.

When moving your site you need to consider some important things:

• The server specification (will the new server be able to run my site?)
• Which files do I need to transfer
• How do I transfer the database to the new server (this can be problematic for very large databases)
• How do I transfer the domain to point to the new server
• Which configuration parameters should be adjusted for the new server
• For older sites, can the database be modified to improve the performance of the site on the new server.

Upgrade to a NEW osCommerce site If you have an existing osCommerce site we can build you a new online shop based on our ELOADED or ELOADED PLUS version of osCommerce and transfer the important contents of your current database. This normally means that we transfer your categories, products, customer records and orders. You then hit the ground running with an up-to-date website and a great new design with all your data in place. The cost to upgrade your site is based on our package prices. We will then provide you with an individual quote once we have taken a look at your current site. Typically for a new site based on our ELOADED Online Shop package + the transfer of 100 products and 500 orders will be 2 hours of extra work @ our hourly rate of £50 per hour.
