This module allows you to use the PayPal IPN Payment gateway to accept credit card payments. Accept payments via PayPal but with the extra security of IPN. This module works in a very similar way to the existing osCommerce payment modules, in that you configure the interface between your site and PayPal using your Admin Area and the PayPal control panel. When a customer confirms their order, they are seamlessly taken to the Pay Pal web site to enter their payment details. Once confirmed at the PayPal site, the customer is returned to the checkout success page at your web site. In contrast to the standard PayPal payment module, the IPN module records the order prematurely in the database to be processed when the PayPal IPN notification is received. This solves the issue of customers not returning back to your site, thus not allowing the order to be added to the database. Once the PayPal IPN notification is received, the order status is updated automatically in the case of succesful payments. Invalid orders are retained in the database allowing the store owner to verify manually or delete. This module comes as standard with ELOADED - our loaded version of osCommerce.
