The GD thumbnailer contribution changes the way that osCommerce displays product, category and manuacturer images. Standard osCommerce resizes these images itself each time the image is displayed. The resizing method is basic which means that the resulting thumbnail images can appear feathered or stepped. The GD thumbnailer update creates beautiful crisp images by using a server graphics library to rezise the images. The GD library is required on your server.
